Foot care
Just like your face and hands, your feet need to be taken care of. After every bath, it is important to adequately dry your feet, to massage them and to apply the foot product that answers your specific needs. There are many types of products: moisturizing creams for dry feet, creams for sweaty feet, creams for cracked ankles, etc. We also recommend a weekly therapeutic foot bath.
Nails must always be clipped square to prevent corners from infiltrating the skin. Now and again, nails may also need to be thinned down. Pedicurists offer such services. Consult a foot care nurse if your feet have particular foot problems.
Do not tolerate the presence of fungus or athlete’s foot. Immediately consult a dermatologist.
Hygiene tips
- Wear white cotton, Irish knit, silk or linen socks.
- Avoid wearing nylon socks or socks made with other synthetic materials.
- Wear seamless socks or socks with an exterior seam.
- Avoid wearing socks that are too tight, contracting your legs or cutting the circulation in your legs (do not stretch the socks).
- Aerate your shoes everyday (ideally, switch shoes during the day or alternate between pairs every day).
- Replace your shoes as soon as significant ware becomes apparent on the outsole, sole or arch feature.
